BIOGRAPHY
My training began at the age of 11 in Philadelphia USA at Settlement Music School, and continued in New York at Manhattan School of Music, the 92nd Street Y and Music and Art High School. In 1998 I received my Masters in Music Performance from the University of South Florida. My primary teachers include Katherine Hoover, Martha Rearick, Susan Glaser, and Peter Lloyd. As well, I have participated in a number of Masters Classes with among others, Julius Baker, Linda Chesis, William Montgomery, Göran Marcusson. As a professional musician I have played with a variety of chamber ensembles and orchestras in the USA and Sweden.
My musical focus includes both classical flute, as well as baroque and early rennaisance music on period instruments (baroque recorder). I also play Native American flutes and Swedish wooden flutes, which are wonderful for opening the soul and mind to improvisaton and resonance with one’s surroundings.
